TAMPA, FL...2/11/06The big 75-lap finale for the Lucas Oil Late
Model cars set for Saturday night paying $12,000 to win has been
rescheduled for Sunday night at 7:00PM because of rain. Sunday's time trials are set for 2:45PM and a full program will begin at 7:00PM with heats, B-Mains and the 75-lap A-Main will follow. The Team USA Mod-Lites will be added to the program. Most of the eight hot lap sessions were completed Saturday following the 2:00PM drivers' meeting when rain fell. After the track was run in again, hot laps were repeated only to have rain fall again. At 6:45PM with more rain on the way, track officials were forced to postpone the championship event for 24 hours. Starting Monday and continuing Tuesday, the StormPay.com Crate Late Models will headline the program along with the Team USA Mod-Lites and Mini Sprints. Wednesday will feature a Championship race for the Crate Late Models plus serve as opening night for the Open Wheel Modifieds. Close to 100 Open Wheel Modifieds from 26 states are racing Wednesday through Saturday night to close out East Bay Raceway Park's 30th Annual Winternationals.
