KENNY WALLACE WILL RACE WEDNESDAY AT EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK |
TAMPA, FL..2/14/06 ,Nascar/Busch Series regular, Kenny Wallace
will be teaming up with NASCAR/Busch Series driver Jeff Purvis
to drive in the StormPay.com Crate Late Model Championship
feature Wednesday night at East Bay Raceway Park. Action starts
at 7:00PM.
Wallace, who has been successful in the Auto Zone/Ford Fusion in
Busch Racing, will try to get his first East Bay win behind the
wheel of a 2006 Rayburn Chassis using swing arm suspension.
Purvis will go with his regular 2006 Warrior Chassis using 4-bar
suspension.
Both cars are powered by $4,900 General Motors Crate engines
that have brought attention to this two-year old series as an
affordable way to go Late Model racing. Matt Angel is chief
mechanic on both cars.
In addition, Wednesday night Wallace will join over 80 Open
Wheel Modified cars already pre-registered for the first of four
nights of open competition. He will be in his St. Louis
Cardinals sponsored machine. On Thursday, Wallace will be racing
for a starting spot in the Daytona 500.
The Open Wheel Modified Series will run through Saturday as part
of the 30th Annual Winternationals celebration at East Bay
Raceway Park.
