Tampa is also a fisherman’s paradise–no license is required to fish off the pier and equuipment rental is available.

For charter fishing fans, check out Tampa Bay Charter Fishing or Queen Fleet Deep Sea fishing. For catamaran sailors, try the Kai Lani 50 ft high performance catamaran.

For animal lovers, visit Busch Gardens. A unique blend of thrilling rides and one of the country’s premier zoos, featuring over 2,700 animals. Sea World is contained within Busch Gardens. Adventure Island is Busch Gardens’ water theme park, so relax and enjoy.

Lowry Park Zoo features natural outdoor exhibits for more than 2,000 animals from Florida and similar habitats. If you’re in the mood to see ‘gators, go to Gator Jungle Alligator Farm, in nearby Plant City. Or head over to Caladesi Island and try the Dolphin Encounter. Or visit the Clearwater Marine Center, a non-profit facility dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick and injured marine animals.

Gaming fans, head over to Tampa Bay Downs and cheer on the ponies—or if you prefer to watch Greyhound racing along iwth horse racing, go to Derby Lane Greyhound racing. Or try your luck at the casinos: Suncruz Casino at Port Richey, Seminole Gaming Palace in Tampa, or Europe Seacruz in Madeira Beach or St. Petersburg.
