East Bay Banquet on Hold
The rash of cold temperatures and the prospect for the chilly weather continuing has contributed to a decision by East Bay Raceway Park officials to postpone the banquet celebrating the 2009 season. The cold weather has contributed to underwhelming ticket sales as honored guests are hesitant to commit to the Saturday, January 9 party.
With the rapid approach of the 2010 Winternationals, officials are looking at a March date as a possible make-up. The 34th annual Winternationals will start on January 26, which is less than three weeks away.
